SSQ revisits Vienna at Crosby Theater
The Spokane String Quartet will continue its season of virtual travels with a return visit to Vienna on Sunday at the Bing Crosby Theater.
The quartet opened its 2008-09 season in October with a Viennese-themed program featuring works by Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms.
“There was too much good music from Vienna to fit into a single concert,” says Garry Matlow, the quartet’s marketing and development director.
Sunday’s program will include Schubert’s “Quartettsatz”; Mozart’s String Quartet No. 14 in G Major; and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 3 in D Major.
The concert begins at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bing, 901 W. Sprague Ave. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for students, in advance through TicketsWest outlets (509-325-SEAT, 800-325-SEAT, www.ticketswest.com) and at the door.
