Tom Watson played like a champion. Although he came in second at the British Open, he represented the United States in a professional manner. Watson never threw his club or beat it into the ground when he missed a shot. Watson is a pro and always will be remembered as such. Golf is a game in which you can’t blame mistakes on anyone else. If you beat the opponent, he congratulates you and goes about his business. Stewart Cink won his first big tournament and acted like a champion.

Both Cink and Watson represented the United States very well.
