Mead, Tigers sweep
Alexis Olgard had 13 kills and Kuulei Zalopany added 10 digs as the Mead Panthers swept Eisenhower 25-12, 25-16, 25-20 Friday in the first round of the 4A regional volleyball tournament at Mead High School.
Meeting the Panthers in the second round today will be Southridge after the Suns outlasted University 18-25, 25-16, 25-13, 23-25, 16-14. Jordan Bonertz had 20 kills in the loss for U-Hi, which will play Eisenhower today in a loser-out match at Mead.
At Rogers High, Lewis and Clark swept Kamiakin 25-21, 25-17, 25-22 behind 15 kills from Janele Vogt and 10 digs and two aces from Kirsten Craig. The Tigers will play Richland at Rogers today. Richland beat Wenatchee in four games.

NWC outscored Moses Lake 4-3 in the shootout.
