In brief: Youth commission forum on Oct. 13

SPOKANE COUNTY – The Chase Youth Commission will host the Youth Issues Candidates Forum on Oct. 13 in the Spokane City Council Chambers at City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., 6 to 8 p.m.

Appraisals offered at antiques show

SPOKANE VALLEY – Jim Custer Enterprises will have a new appraisal feature at this year’s Antique and Collectors sale at the Spokane Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana St., scheduled Friday through Sunday.

Attendees can bring up to three items to the Museum of Arts and Culture Appraisal Days event on Saturday and Sunday for appraisal. Cost is $5 per item. Appraisal fees benefit the MAC. Itemsmust be hand carried, and firearms are not allowed.

Hours are Friday from 4 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost is $6 per person and is good for the entire weekend. It’s free for children 12 and younger.
