Washington vs. USC

KICKOFF: 12:30 p.m. at Husky Stadium

Records: UW 1-1; USC 2-0

TV/Radio: ABC/1280-AM

Overview: The story line is getting tired: Former USC assistant and now Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian taking on his former boss, USC coach Pete Carroll. There are players involved in this matchup.

USC has uncertainty at quarterback. Freshman phenom Matt Barkley hasn’t thrown much since bruising his shoulder in last weekend’s win at Ohio State. ESPN reports that a source said redshirt sophomore Aaron Corp, the starter coming out of spring practice until he broke his leg, will get his first career start. Carroll said he has told Corp to be ready, though added the decision may not come until kickoff. There is also the letdown factor. Last year the Trojans beat Ohio State and then laid an egg at Oregon State. It’s their only loss in their past 12 Pac-10 games.

UW will try to carry the momentum of last week’s 42-23 win over Idaho, an outcome that snapped a 15-game home losing streak.
