KICKOFF: 1 p.m. at Pine Bowl
Records: Whitworth 1-2; Chapman 1-0
Overview: Whitworth running back Adam Anderson (ankle) didn’t practice this week, but he hasn’t been ruled out of today’s game. Minus Anderson, the Pirates rushed for just 47 yards on 33 attempts in last Saturday’s 29-24 loss to Redlands. Anderson had 324 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns in Whitworth’s 41-35 road win over Chapman a year ago. The Pirates picked off two passes and quarterback Andrew Durant threw for a career-high 243 yards, but a second-half rally fell short against Redlands. Chapman, 0-3 in the series vs. Whitworth, beat Menlo 21-7 in its season opener two weeks ago. Akio Lloyd returned a kick 80 yards for a touchdown and also rushed 104 yards.
