49ers draft Idaho’s Iupati

SANTA CLARA - The San Francisco 49ers significantly upgraded their offensive line in a matter of 30 minutes. San Francisco has selected Idaho offensive guard Mike Iupati with the 17th selection in Thursday’s NFL draft, following up their earlier choice of Rutgers tackle Anthony Davis at No. 11. In Iupati, the 49ers acquired a prospect widely considered the top offensive guard in the draft. He is one of the most physically dominant guards coming out of college.
