Event will observe Human Rights Day

The Human Rights Education Institute in Coeur d’Alene will celebrate International Human Rights Day on Dec. 10. Speakers will include representatives of the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce, Hospice of North Idaho, the North Idaho AIDS Coalition and the Coeur d’Alene High School’s Human Rights Club. International Human Rights Day recognizes the United Nations’ adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1950. The free event will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. at the institute, 414  1/2 E. Mullan Ave.
