Broncos gallop past Crusaders
James Stevenson and Jake Eichner combined to score 23 of Lind-Ritzville’s 26 fourth-quarter points Saturday as the Broncos (17-8) rallied to defeat Northwest Christian (20-4) 51-46 in a loser-out game of the District 7 2B tournament at Mt. Spokane High.
The Broncos meet Reardan at 5 p.m. Thursday at Mead in another loser-out battle.

Lakeside 54, Chewelah 45: Chris Cochrane had 17 points and Ryan Gunderson tallied 13 points and 14 rebounds to push the Eagles (9-13) to victory over the Cougars (14-8) at Mead.
Lakeside moves up to the No. 2 seed at regionals, while Chewelah advances as the No. 3 seed.
District 6 1A
Chelan 70, Lake Roosevelt 38: Chelan jumped out to a 21-7 lead after the first quarter as the Goats (21-1) drubbed the Raiders (15-7) at Omak. Lake Roosevelt will play Lakeside at regionals.

DeSales 56, Tekoa-Oakesdale 55: Brandon Hovde’s 16 points weren’t enough as the Irish beat the Nighthawks (6-16) in a loser-out game at Colfax.

Wellpinit 78, Cusick 65: Cody Flett and Greg Wynecoop had double-doubles as the Redskins (20-3) downed the Panthers (19-5) in the District 7 1B championship game at Deer Park.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 73, Odessa 43: Behind 22 points and eight rebounds from Cody Jess, the Warriors (16-8) punched their ticket to state with a thrashing of the Tigers (10-14) in a loser-out game at Deer Park.

St. John-Endicott 54, Touchet 44: Warren Miller racked up 13 points and 13 rebounds as the Eagles (13-11) upended the Indians (9-10) at Endicott to claim a state-tournament bid as the No. 2 seed.

Lakeland 64, Sandpoint 62: Joel Underdahl scored 20 points for the Hawks (14-9) in a loser-out game at Sandpoint (6-16).
4A regional: Tuesday night’s opening matchups are set for the Greater Spokane League/Columbia Basin Big Nine tournament to advance four to state. GSL No. 1 Mead will host CBBN No. 4 Davis at 7:30; GSL No. 2 Gonzaga Prep will host CBBN No. 3 Walla Walla at 6; GSL No. 3 University will travel to CBBN No. 2 Kamiakin at 6; and CBBN No. 1 Richland will host CBBN No. 5 Eisenhower at 6.

Lakeside 60, Newport 54: Kendra Lahue had 16 points and 12 rebounds as the Eagles (20-3) squeaked past the Grizzlies (12-12) at Mead High. Taylor Lewis had 22 for Newport. Lakeside advances to regionals as the No. 2 seed, and Newport moves on as the No. 3.

Northwest Christian 51, St. George’s 35: The Crusaders (14-12) used a 19-2 edge in the third quarter to pull away from the Dragons (21-4) in a loser-out game at Mt. Spokane.
Lind-Ritzville 37, Liberty 26: Devon Killian scored six of her 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Broncos (14-11) took out the Lancers (13-11) in a loser-out contest at Mt. Spokane. L-R will meet NWC at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at Mead.

Waitsburg-Prescott 43, Garfield-Palouse 34: The Cardinals advanced to a Wednesday game against the loser of Monday’s Pomeroy-Asotin game with a victory over the Vikings (5-17) in a loser-out game at Colfax.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 44, Columbia 35: Madeline Isaak poured in 21 points and Nikki Osborne pulled down 17 rebounds as the Warriors (20-3) defeated the Lions (21-4) in the title game at Deer Park. The Warriors head to next week’s state tournament as the No. 1 seed while Columbia moves on as the No. 2.
Cusick 34, Curlew 31: Andrea Heinen had 11 points and Courtney Montgomery had 10 rebounds as the Panthers (10-13) clawed past the Cougars (11-12) to advance to state in a loser-out game at Deer Park.

St. John-Endicott 47, Rosalia 37: Alli Winters scored 11 points and Kelsey Simon dished eight assists to help the host Eagles (20-3) eliminate the Spartans (15-10) and advance to state.
