EAST VALLEY – The East Valley High School class of 1971 is compiling a contact list for next year’s 40th reunion.

Pet adoption fees will be waived

SPOKANE – The Spokane Humane Society will waive adoption fees through Saturday on cats, kittens and select dogs, during their “Freedom by the 4th” event.

All animals have been spayed or neutered, are microchipped, and are current on their shots.

Park plans July Fourth celebration

RIVERSIDE – Riverfront Park will celebrate Independence Day all weekend long.

On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can enjoy family fun, food and entertainment including international food booths; beer and wine at the Boulevard Bistro; Freedom of Speech stage; day pass specials for rides and attractions; performers roaming the park; exhibitors, arts and games.

And, on Sunday the Larry H. Miller Fireworks Show will begin at 10 p.m. on the Lilac Bowl Stage.

Reserved seating for the fireworks show is $8 per person.
