Selected Forward Jeremy Roenick and defenseman brothers Kevin Hatcher and Derian Hatcher were selected for induction into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame. The three former NHL All-Stars were chosen by USA Hockey, along with administrator Art Berglund and longtime University of Minnesota physician Dr. V. George Nagobads.

Re-signed The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed Jannik Hansen after the speedy forward was awarded a one-year, $825,000 contract in arbitration.

• Carlos Arroyo has finalized his deal to return to the Miami Heat. Arroyo appeared in 72 games and made 35 starts at point guard for Miami last season.

• Defensive end Bobby McCray is returning to New Orleans only one month after the Saints unexpectedly waived him. Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says McCray signed a one-year contract, the same day fifth-round draft choice Matt Tennant signed a four-year deal.

Signed A person familiar with the agreement says the Cleveland Browns have come to terms on a multiyear contract with rookie quarterback Colt McCoy. McCoy is expected to report with Cleveland’s other first-year players to training camp today.

• NFL sacks leader Elvis Dumervil has agreed to a long-term extension with the Denver Broncos. Dumervil had a team record 17 sacks last season, started in the Pro Bowl and was selected All-Pro.

• Matt Barnes is going back to Los Angeles, this time to join the two-time defending NBA champion Lakers. The Lakers announced they had signed the free-agent forward.

Suspended Baltimore Ravens cornerback Cary Williams has been suspended by the NFL for two games without pay for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome says the violation occurred while Williams was playing for the Tennessee Titans.

Granted American golfer Tom Watson has been granted honorary life membership of the European Tour. The eight-time major winner received the award at Carnoustie ahead of the Seniors British Open. Watson joins Arnold Palmer, Bob Charles and Gary Player among the greats who have received the award.
