Pe Ell 52, Davenport 45
Hank Robinson hit the go-ahead basket on a nifty up-and-under move with 5:15 left in the fourth as the Trojans hung on to derail the Gorillas’ hopes of returning to the championship game for the second straight season.
After trailing since the 2:17 mark of the second quarter, Joey Gunning gave life to Davenport’s comeback hopes when he drilled a 3-pointer from 25 feet out as time ran out in the third quarter.
But Robinson’s layup and a Tyler Ratkie basket and foul on the next Trojans possession gave Pe Ell all the margin it would need, holding the Gorillas to four points in the fourth quarter.
