Classes and workshops

Christian Youth Theater – North Idaho – Weeklong theater arts camps, June 21-Aug. 20. Bitty campers (ages 5-6) meet Mondays-Thursdays, 9 a.m.-noon and all day on Fridays. Junior campers (ages 7-13) meet Mondays-Thursdays, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and Fridays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Teens and tween camps are June 28-Aug. 2 (for campers ages 11-18) and Aug. 2-6 (for campers ages 13-18). Teen and tween camps are held Mondays-Thursdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Each camp includes theater arts workshops, theater and outdoor games, team competitions, a camp T-shirt and a performance on Fridays with parts for everyone. Summer Theatre Arts Camp – For youth ages 11-16. Covers acting, storytelling, monologue and scene writing, ballroom and world dance, mask making, puppetry and teamwork on stage. Two-week camp is held July 26-Aug. 6, Mondays-Fridays, 8:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Rockin’ B Ranch, 3912 Spokane Bridge Road. Step in the Write Direction – Presented by the Inland Empire Region of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). Includes speakers, a book sale, “The Nuts and Bolts of Publishing,” crafting your novel, an agent critique of first pages, “Illustrators’ Intensive” and more.
