Ruled A Minnesota judge ruled Friday that he will keep the suspensions of two Minnesota Vikings on hold if they follow through on their plan to file an appeal in their fight against the NFL’s anti-drug policy. The NFL first tried to suspend defensive tackles Kevin Williams and Pat Williams in 2008 after they tested positive for a banned diuretic that was in the StarCaps weight-loss supplement they were taking.

•A court ruled in favor of American swimmer Jessica Hardy, rejecting the World Anti-Doping Agency’s appeal to extend her doping ban. The Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland dismissed WADA’s appeal to lengthen the ban from one to two years. Hardy tested positive for clenbuterol in July 2008.

•Green Bay Packers defensive end Johnny Jolly is facing tougher restrictions for being free on bond on a drug charge. A judge in Houston ordered Jolly, who was arrested in 2008 on suspicion of possessing cocaine, to stay out of nightclubs in addition to a drug and alcohol ban.

Charged Los Angeles Kings assistant coach Mark Hardy was charged with sexual abuse after a woman said he fondled her in a Washington, D.C., hotel room, according to charging documents.
