Utah State 38, Idaho State 17: Diondre Borel threw for 255 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score as the Aggies overpowered the Bengals on Saturday night in Logan, Utah.
Borel, who was 21 of 26 for the Aggies (1-1), became the seventh USU quarterback to pass for 5,000 career yards. His 15-yard TD pass to Eric Moats put Utah State up 31-3 with 6:59 left in the third quarter.
San Diego State 41, New Mexico State 21: Ronnie Hillman ran for 150 yards and four TDs as the Aztecs (2-0) defeated the Aggies (0-1) in Las Cruces, N.M.
Ryan Lindley threw for 319 yards and a touchdown and Vincent Brown had five catches for 99 yards as the Aztecs moved to 2-0 for the first time in 16 years and snapped a 14-game nonconference losing streak.
Hawaii 31, Army 28: Scott Enos kicked a 31-yard field goal with 7.3 seconds remaining and the Warriors (1-1) edged the Black Knights (1-1) in West Point, N.Y.
The Warriors won after Kamalu Umu forced Army quarterback Max Jenkins to fumble at the Hawaii 27-yard line with 24.3 seconds remaining.
Texas A&M 48, Louisiana Tech 16: Jerrod Johnson passed for 349 yards and four TDs to lead the Aggies (2-0) to a romp over the Bulldogs (1-1) in College Station, Texas.
The Aggies fumbled five times and missed a field goal in the first half but still led 21-10.
Nevada 51, Colorado State 6: Colin Kaepernick passed for 241 yards and two TDs and rushed for 161 yards and a pair of scores to lead the Wolf Pack (2-0) to a victory over the Rams (0-2) in Reno, Nev.
