Vikings notch win

Emilee Cordon scored late in the first half and late in the second half Tuesday to help Coeur d’Alene to a 5-2 win at Lewiston in 5A Inland Empire League girls soccer play.

Ashlie Ward scored in the 11th minute for the Vikings and set up Cordon’s final goal.

The Bengals dominated the first 15 minutes, with 10 shots on goal. The play of goalkeeper Madi Williams, who finished with 19 saves, allowed CdA to fight off the flurry.

• Joelle Stephens assisted on the second goal and scored the final to help Moscow toward a 4-0 win over host Lakeland in 4A IEL play at Rathdrum. The Bears scored every goal between 38 and 58 minutes.

• Brittany Amburn made four saves to help host Lake City notch a scoreless tie with visiting Sandpoint in a nonleaguer.
