UC Riverside drops Idaho

MOSCOW, Idaho – Guard Tre’Shonti Nottingham had a career-high 28 points and 13 rebounds Thursday to lead UC Riverside to a 70-57 nonconference women’s basketball win at Idaho.

Nottingham finished 11 of 12 from the free-throw line for the Highlanders (2-7), who led by as many as 23 points in the second half.

UC Riverside held the Vandals (3-7) to 16 points in the first half, including 6-for-27 shooting from the field. Idaho had 12 turnovers during the first half, resulting in 17 Highlanders points.

Ganeaya Rogers led four Vandals in doubles figures with 13 points. Alyssa Charlston, who scored 12, added a team-best 12 rebounds.

The teams combined for 38 fouls and 52 free-throw attempts.

The Highlanders play at Gonzaga on Saturday.
