Rockwood to open two new clinics
Airway Heights center tentatively set for April
Rockwood Clinic is opening a primary care center in fast-growing Airway Heights.
The new clinic will include three providers – including at least one physician – among a total staff of around nine, said Jill Fix, a Rockwood spokeswoman.
The opening date is tentatively set for April 1. It will include radiology and a laboratory.
Fix said the clinic will be at 10414 W. Highway 2 – within the Crosspointe Center – and occupy about 3,870 square feet. The clinic is being designed by Chris Herath and built by Vandervert Construction, LLC.
The project cost has not yet been released.
Also, Rockwood is opening a new Rockwood North Specialty Center.
The new clinic will include six family practitioners, four pediatricians, a podiatrist and two ophthalmologists when it is fully staffed – perhaps by late June.
The new clinic will occupy 10,000 square feet and include a lab and radiology services. The clinic’s existing physical therapy practice will expand to add two more therapists, with plans to bolster industrial rehabilitation and add hand therapy services.
Vandervert is in charge of construction and Bernardo-Willis did the design work.
Rockwood works in collaboration with Deaconess Medical Center and Valley Hospital and Medical Center. All three are now owned by Community Health Systems Inc.
Rockwood is among the largest groups of clinics in the Northwest. It currently employs more than 1,100 people, including about 135 doctors at 32 clinic locations.
