Authorities identify body found on Hayden Lake trail

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department today identified the body found on the English Point Trail system last night. Authorities said the body is that of Paul A. Prescott, 62, of Seattle, who was found face down about 6:55 p.m. by someone riding a horse on one of the trails. Investigators responded an found Prescott deceased in the middle of the trail. An autopsy was performed this afternoon, but results are pending and the cause of death has not been determined, authorities said. At this time, the death is not suspicious.
