Letter: Big Bend G&CC overlooked

You perhaps missed the crown jewel in your “Country Charm” special section of area nine-hole golf courses.

I am referring to Big Bend Golf and Country Club in Wilbur, 80 miles west of Spokane on U.S. Route 2.  Founded and first played in 1964, it was built by Almira, Creston and Wilbur farmers and townspeople.

The club has had many of the same experiences of your “diverse sextet of rural golf courses.”

I have had the pleasure of playing all of the courses in your article.  Big Bend should definitely be included in your article and at the very least be in your directory.

Playing from three sets of tees, Big Bend is a fun, challenging course and a “country charm” experience.
