‘Got Talent Spokane?’ seeks contestants
A new contest is looking for the area’s top amateur talent.
“Got Talent Spokane?” will begin with tryouts March 18, and March 19 if needed. It’s open to performers of any type – singers, dancers, bands, jugglers, etc. – who have never received compensation for their act, as defined by the IRS.
A dozen finalists will appear in a public competition April 9 at the Bing Crosby Theater. Three will be selected by a panel of judges to perform again, and a winner will be chosen by audience vote.
There will be a $1,250 cash prize for first place, $500 for second place and $250 for third place.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Fulcrum Institute Dispute Resolution Clinic, specifically its Interchange program, which provides supervised visitations of children in custody situations.
Applications and more information are available at Fulcrum’s website, www.fulcrumdispute.com (see “special events”). You also can pick up applications at Mountain Gear, 2002 N. Division St.
