This Gonzaga hoops season stands out

I would like to congratulate both men’s and women’s Gonzaga basketball teams for their WCC tournament victories. Good luck at the NCAA tournaments.

One of the reasons I’m writing this letter is because during the men’s season there was a lot of talk about their losses and how this might not be their year. I want the team and the coaching staff to know that a lot of us never dismissed the Zags at all. I predicted that they would still win the WCC tournament and go to the NCAA tournament. The Zags’ response to defeat was resilience and determination. You are role models, teaching us to not give up.

This is really important to me is that they know that most of us are not fair-weather fans. I have loved every team, every season, and you have brought me great joy. This year has personally been my favorite. I plan my schedule around televised Zags games and will continue to do so. Good luck, Zags. You are winners no matter what.
