This week’s Pac-12 picks

Four of this week’s Pac-12 games seemed like easy picks. The fifth one, not so much. It all comes down to whether WSU’s offensive line can protect Marshall Lobbestael. The final verdict: well enough. As always, the listed line is for your entertainment purposes only. All games Saturday. Arizona at USC (USC by 13.5): When in the history of college football has playing USC in Los Angeles seemed like a reprieve? After three consecutive top-10 opponents, the Wildcats must see it that way. USC, 31-24. Oregon State at Arizona State (ASU by 18): The Sun Devils might be ready for a letdown. Will it be enough for OSU to grab an upset? Ah, no. ASU, 27-17. UCLA at Stanford (Stanford by 20.5): The Cardinal’s physical brand of football should wear the Bruins down, just like it did in LA last season. Stanford, 35-3. Washington at Utah (Utah by 7): Two teams with something to prove. Utah has to prove it can win in the Pac-12, Washington that it can win on the road. Washington, 27-24. Washington State at Colorado (Colorado by 3): This could be the Buffs only chance for a conference win. They don’t win on the road and the home schedule is tough. WSU, 37-35. Last week: 4-1 overall, 3-2 vs. spread. Season: 30-7 overall, 17-13 vs. spread.
