Anna passed away April 7, 2012 at Orchard Crest Retirement Community Assisted Living in Spokane Valley, WA.

Anna was born October 24, 1922 to Charles and Mabel Rand in Milton Freewater, OR, the seventh of eight children.

She spent her growing up years there until she married L.E.

Donahue in 1940.

Together they had three sons.

Anna was active in the Daughters of the Nile, and was a volunteer worker at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children for many years where she was named Volunteer of the Year in 1993.

She was also chairman of the outpatient clinic for several years.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband, Earl of 68 years, and her two sons, William (Bill) and Arthur (Bud) Donahue.

She is survived by her son Patrick (DeLayne); three grandchildren, Sean (Ann) Donahue, Kevin (Kelsey) Donahue, of Spokane, and Kerry Sue Donahue of Boynton Beach, FL; and six great-grandchildren, Aaron, Joshua, Spencer, Nathan, Rylan, and Emma Grace Donahue, all of Spokane.

A special thank you to the staff at Orchard Crest Assisted Living for their loving care of Anna and to Hospice of Spokane for their help during her final week.

There will be no service for Anna at her request, and memorial contributions can be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
