Obituary: Hurley, Robert J.

HURLEY,
Robert J.
(Age 72)

Bob was born on August 7, 1939 in Grangeville, ID to Fay and Mary Ellen Hurley.

Bob was raised in Grangeville, ID.

He attended Grangeville High School and graduated in 1957.

He then entered the Army.

After his service in the Army he attended the University of Idaho and received two degrees.

He moved to Spokane, WA where he met and married Bonnie and they had their daughter Leslie Ann.

Bob was employed as a sales broker at Hatfield Enterprizes for many years.

After work Bob enjoyed exercising at the gym nearly every day.

Having a physically fit body was something he took great pride in.

He truly relished traveling and when he did, it was always somewhere tropical or where the sun was sure to shine.

Hawaii, Florida, and Texas were some of his favorite spots.

Bob had a passion for music; it appeared to move the young side of his soul.

Bob never asked anybody for help but was always helping others.

He was a very generous man; however, he never wanted to be acknowledged for anything he did.

Bob was not one to be out in front, but always in the back taking it all in.

He will be with us all forever in our hearts and memories.

He leaves behind his daughter Leslie Ann Quick and her husband Wayne Quick of Spokane, WA; his half sister, Jerrine Schilling of Florida; his cousins: Judy and Jim Salsbury of Grangeville, ID, Becky Nolan of Idaho and his ex-wife and best friend Bonnie Tripp of Spokane, WA.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father Fay and Mary Ellen Hurley; his brother, Pat Hurley; his half brother Jack Hurley and his stepson Steven Knudtson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 3:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home.
