Obituary: Rich, Matthew Stuart

RICH, Matthew

Matthew Stuart Rich passed away at the very young age of 46.

He was born on 12/12/65 in Vallejo, California but called Spokane his home since he was 7 years old.

Graduating from East Valley in 1984, he began his Army service right after, receiving a Good Conduct Medal and Army Achievement Medal.

He then attended EWU and graduated in 2002.

Matt left behind his incredible wife, Maria and his sons, Adam (17) and Ethan (15), along with his son Jacob (22) who currently resides in Florida.

He also left behind his parents, Jerry and Rose Rich; his sisters, Patti, Laura and Cathy, and their families.

He had numerous nephews and nieces that he adored and in turn adored their “weird” Uncle Matt.

Matt not only enjoyed his large family, but golfing, gardening, reading, puzzles, and playing the slots.

He will be missed more than we can say.

His Memorial will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at 17825 E Trent on Monday, August 27th at 4pm, followed by a reception held at St. Joseph’s Church in Otis Orchards.

In lieu of flowers, any donations for the family can be given to Maria and the boys either at the service or mailed to their home.
