OUTLOOK: The Cougars have had Gonzaga’s number, with a 10-point win in Provo last month and a 22-point drubbing last March at the NCAA tournament. BYU has won five straight WCC games and seems to have regained its offensive stride after sputtering for a couple of weeks in January. The Cougars rank 10th nationally in scoring (79.7) and fifth in assists (17.8). They like to play fast and often take the first good look. San Diego, locked into the sixth seed, has won three of its last four conference games. Freshman guard Johnny Dee, who leads the WCC in 3-pointers made per game (2.6), averages a team-high 13.7 points per game.
