Wellpinit, Titans split

It was a split decision for the Wellpinit and Odessa-Harrington boys and girls in a nonleague doubleheader Monday in Wellpinit.

AJ Kieffer had 26 points and nine rebounds and Greg Wynecoop 21 points and 16 boards to lead the home-standing Redskins (10-5) to a 69-59 boys win over the Titans (8-6). Justin Hunt led O-H with 18 points.

Odessa-Harrington (6-8) opened a 10-point lead over error-prone Wellpinit (5-9) in the first half and held on for a 39-36 girls victory.

Kendall Todd led the Titans with 14 points. Sami Jo Parr had 11 points and 11 rebounds for Wellpinit, which had 18 first-half turnovers. Dani Flett’s attempt at a tying 3 at the buzzer hit the rim.
