SFCC Planetarium - Two shows will be presented each Friday, at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Four shows will rotate every Friday throughout the school year. Three of the shows will begin with an introduction to the seasonal night sky. The presenter will show which planets, stars and constellations can be seen during the current night sky, and will provide background information on the currently visible celestial objects. The second part of these shows will feature a movie that plays over the entire surface of the dome. The fourth show does not feature a full-dome movie but features an in-depth guided tour of the night sky. This program will also cover astronomical concepts such as patterns of motion in the sky, moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, and seasonal changes.
