SFCC Planetarium - Two shows will be presented each Friday, at 5:30 and 7 p.m. There are four shows that rotate throughout the month. Three of the shows begin with an introduction to observing the seasonal night sky. The presenter shows which planets, stars and constellations can be seen during the current night sky, and will provide background information on the currently visible celestial objects. The second part of these shows will feature a movie that plays over the entire surface of the dome. The fourth show is a guided tour of the night sky, demonstrating the location of stars and constellations visible throughout the year. This program will also cover astronomical concepts such as patterns of motion in the sky, moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, and seasonal changes. “Green Fire” - Documentary film about conservationist Aldo Leopold and his environmental legacy. “Green Fire” shares highlights from his career, explaining how he shaped conservation and the modern environmental movement. It also illustrates how Leopold’s vision of a community that cares about both people and land continues to inform and inspire, highlighting modern projects that put Leopold’s land ethic in action. Film shows Saturday at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Leopold’s daughter Estella Leopold, a professor emeritus in the biology department at University of Washington, will speak at 3:30 p.m. Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, Eric A.
