Idaho State, Northern Colorado to play for Big Sky women’s tourney championship

No. 2 seed Northern Colorado advanced to its first Big Sky women’s basketball conference tournament championship game with a 51-43 victory over No. 4 seed Montana State on Saturday in Pocatello.

The Bears (20-10) will take on host and top seed Idaho State today for an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament.

Sophomore D’shara Strange scored 15 points with 12 rebounds to lead the Bears over the Bobcats (19-11).

Idaho State 70, Sacramento State 57: Five Bengals scored in double figures as top-seeded ISU defeated the Hornets (13-18).

Lindsey Reed scored 17 points with 11 rebounds to lead Idaho State (23-7).
