Irvin, draftmates sign with Seattle

NFL: The Seahawks have come to terms on a multi-year deal with first-round pick Bruce Irvin, a defensive end taken 15th overall in last month’s draft to help fill Seattle’s need for a speed pass rusher to come off the edge.

The team also came to terms with the other seven members of its 2012 draft class, an unusual move given that a team’s draft picks are usually signed over time in the weeks following the draft.

Terms of the deals announced Monday were not released.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Irvin (pictured) played two seasons at West Virginia, where he had 14 sacks as a junior, and 8 1/2 sacks in his final season.

Leaf may seek to change plea

Courts: A new court hearing has been set for ex-NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf in Montana.

The former Washington State standout is scheduled to appear in Cascade County District Court in Great Falls today on charges that he broke into two homes and stole prescription drugs.

He is charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of criminal possession of a dangerous drug.

The Great Falls Tribune reports that Leaf will be arraigned and has asked for a change-of-plea hearing.

Leaf’s attorney, Ken Olson, did not immediately return a message on Monday.

Leaf has been jailed since his second arrest in three days on April 2. He is facing possible prison time in Texas after officials there moved to revoke his probation from a 2010 plea agreement on similar accusations.
