Lakeland sophomore Derek Bayley captured the 4A state golf tournament medalist honor Tuesday. It was inadvertently left out of our Wednesday prep roundup.
Bayley won on the first hole of a three-way playoff. He fired a 4-under-par 68 on Monday and followed with a 72 on Tuesday.
After missing an eagle on his shot from 158 yards in the fairway, Bayley secured the title by sinking a 5-foot birdie putt.
