In brief: Plans for sheriff’s shooting range stall

YAKIMA – A Yakima County land-use official is holding up plans by the Sheriff’s Office to build a new shooting range.

The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office had proposed to build the shooting range on a 17-acre county-owned for use by deputies and county corrections officers to qualify their weapons.
