Reward offered for information on CdA rape attempt

Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in an attempted rape in Coeur d’Alene on Saturday. A 16-year-old girl told police she was out for a jog around 5:30 a.m. when a man followed her on foot along the 1800 block of North 15th Street. The girl fled to a nearby residence but sustained some injuries escaping the man. The man is described as white, in his 20s or 30s, 5-feet-5-inches tall, average weight with short red hair parted on the side, facial hair that is either a soul patch or goatee trimmed with a quarter of an inch and a mustache. The suspect was wearing a black Carhartt jacket, tan Carhartt pants and black boots. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (208) 667-2111 or (800) 222-TIPS or go online to Crime Stoppers. Callers are asked to use a code name or number and do not have to use their own name to be eligible for a reward.
