Allert’s lone point boosts PF

Post Falls beat West Valley 36-35 on a free throw made by Shayna Allert with 2.8 seconds left in the game Wednesday at Post Falls.

It was Allert’s only point. No player scored in double digits in the nonleague game.

Colville 46, Medical Lake 25: The Indians jumped in front early and defeated the host Cardinals in a nonleague game at Medical Lake.

Tyra Brons led the Indians with 16 points, while Sadie Learn contributed 12. Medical Lake got to within eight in the second half behind Cassidy Hagel (11 points) and Maleeka Wegner (10), but Colville was efficient on offense and created turnovers on defense.

Potlatch 57, Garfield-Palouse 29: Ashli Woodin hit five 3-pointers on her way to 17 points in leading the Loggers to a nonleague victory over the visiting Vikings.

Kelsey Butterfield added 11 points for Potlatch. Sammi Johnson led G-P with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Republic 65, Kettle Falls 34: Savannah Bowe scored 21 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the visiting Tigers to a nonleague win over the Bulldogs. Republic got 17 points from Shania Graham and 10 points from Sierra McQuay.

Boys

Republic secured a 56-41 nonleague victory over host Kettle Falls.

Taylor Campbell led the way for the Tigers with 17 points and Aaron Fritts added 12 more.

Cole Wren led Kettle Falls with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Tyler Johnson with 10 points and 12 boards.

Garfield-Palouse 65, Potlatch 20: Matthew Holbrook scored 16 points and the Vikings overcame a sluggish start to cruise by the host Loggers in a nonleague game.

In addition to his 16 points, Holbrook added six steals and three assists. Teammate Hunter Woltering contributed 12 points. The Loggers were led by Kenny Scheffler with eight points and eight rebounds.
