Greyhounds make state
Corey Langerveld and Race Martin combined for 35 points and 21 rebounds Wednesday as Pullman qualified for the State 2A tournament with a 67-61 home win over Grandview.
Pullman (23-1) outscored Grandview 16-2 at the free-throw line as Langerveld hit 7 of 9 on the way to 19 points.
Pullman will open state against Ellensburg (16-6) at 4 p.m. Saturday at Central Washington University.
Wapato 68, Clarkston 59: Christian Vela scored 18 points as the host Wolves (17-5) eliminated the Bantams (16-8).
Clarkston’s Trevor Sperry scored 25.
Wapato will meet West Valley-Yakima (20-2) in a state opener at 6 p.m. Saturday at CWU.
