Bobcats topple Eagles

Rachel Semansky had 20 points and eight rebounds and Montana State came from behind on Saturday to hand Eastern Washington its first Big Sky Conference loss of the season, 73-60 at Reese Court in Cheney.

The Bobcats (9-4, 3-1) got hot in the second half – making 17 of 28 shots from the floor while the Eagles (7-6, 3-1) went cold. EWU led by two at the half.

Carrie Ojeda had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Lexie Nelson added 10 points for the Eagles.

Lewis & Clark 76, Whitworth 65: Kristina Williams scored 30 points on 12-of-22 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Pioneers (12-1, 3-1) past the Pirates (9-4, 2-2) in Northwest Conference play in Portland.

Whitworth couldn’t recover after falling behind 38-21 in the first half.

Kayla Johnson and Emily Guthrie had 13 points apiece for the Pirates.

Utah State 91, Idaho 85: Devyn Christensen scored 25 points and Makenlee Williams added 21 points and seven rebounds as the Aggies (6-9, 3-1) edged the Vandals (4-10, 1-2) in a Western Athletic Conference game in Moscow, Idaho.

Stacey Barr tallied a team-high 23 points for Idaho.

North Idaho 56, Snow 47: Katie Buskey scored 15 points and the Cardinals (18-1, 3-1) pulled away in the second half and beat the Badgers (7-10, 1-2) in a Scenic West Athletic Conference contest in Ephraim, Utah.

Angela Woods and Kabri Emerson added 13 points apiece for North Idaho, which outscored Snow 33-23 in the second half to erase a one-point halftime deficit.

The Badgers struggled to score throughout, shooting 30.4 percent from the floor in the first half and 31 percent in the second half.
