Cowboys concerned

A Dallas Cowboys official says the team is looking to improve how it deals with drunken driving in the wake of two high-profile player arrests. Player development consultant Calvin Hill said in a statement Monday that the team understands the dangers of drunken driving, especially since it had “recently experienced the most tragic of circumstances regarding this issue.” Defensive lineman Jay Ratliff (pictured) was arrested last week in Grapevine, Texas, after sideswiping a semitrailer truck. His blood-alcohol level was measured at twice the legal limit. That came a month after fellow Cowboy Josh Brent was indicted on an intoxicated manslaughter charge in a crash that killed practice squad player Jerry Brown. – Associated Press
