Architecture

Integrus Architecture has promoted Martin Sweet to senior associate and Brad Doll, Ty Miller and Rob Wiese to associates in its Spokane office.

NAC|Architecture has promoted Michael Cole and Trish Buzan to associate principal and Marty Orchard to associate. Cole is currently serving as the project manager for the renovation of Patterson Hall at Eastern Washington University. Buzan is the technology director of NAC and has been with the firm since 1990. Orchard is a marketing manager who is also responsible for leading proposal efforts.

Education

The Idaho State Board of Education has named Donald Burnett as the interim president of the University of Idaho. Burnett earned a master of laws degree from the University of Virginia and has previously served as an appellate judge, practicing lawyer, JAG officer, state bar president, law professor, and the dean of two law schools, including the University of Idaho’s College of Law.

Mary Paine will join Washington State University as an associate professor in the College of Pharmacy’s recently established section of clinical pharmacology in Spokane. Paine earned her Ph.D. in pharmaceutics from the University of Washington. She has been with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 1999 and most recently served as an assistant professor at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

Health care

Northwest Specialty Hospital and Dr. Brian Samuels are opening Northwest Oncology. The Post Falls-based Northwest Oncology will offer diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders and cancer. Dr. Samuels worked in North Idaho for nine years.

Law enforcement

The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office has promoted Mark Strangio from detective to patrol sergeant. Strangio has worked in both patrol and narcotics with the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office since 2004. He was also recently assigned to the FBI’s North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force as an investigator.

Military

Rudy Lopez has been selected as director of the Eastern Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake. Lopez is a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and most recently served as the 92d Air Refueling Wing Command chief master sergeant at Fairchild AFB from 2010-2013.

Miscellaneous

Colmac Industries has promoted Justin Shamion to vice president and Mike Harper to vice president of engineering. Shamion has been with Colmac for seven years and has held positions in production and operations management. Harper has also been with Colmac for seven years. His positions have included sales engineer and engineering manager.

Nonprofit

Tim Williams has joined the Spokane Community Land Trust as program director. Previously, Williams worked as director of administration and finance at Sirti and as a controller and IT manager at Agilent Technologies. The Spokane Community Land Trust works to provide affordable homeownership for first time buyers.

Real estate

Christopher Gross has joined Keller Williams Realty Spokane. Previously, Gross worked as a salesman for Nestle.

Software

Imprezzio Inc. has hired Anne Krueger as a corporate trainer. She volunteers with Blessings Under the Bridge. Previously, Krueger was an agency field support specialist for State Farm.
