COMING UP: Tonight at Cal State Bakersfield, 7; Saturday at Utah Valley, 6 p.m.
OUTLOOK: The trajectory of Idaho’s season – and its spot in the WAC standings – is in much better shape after two confidence-building wins at home last week. The Vandals have jumped from a tie for last place to alone in sixth in the nine-team league. The Vandals have either beaten or been competitive this year with their remaining WAC foes. Five of UI’s seven remaining games will be on the road, starting with trips to Cal State Bakersfield and WAC-leading Utah Valley. CSUB is just 2-7 in the WAC, but all of its league losses (including a setback at Idaho) have been by a narrow margin.
