Issued New Orleans police issued an arrest warrant Thursday for former NFL safety Darren Sharper and another man, Erik Nunez, accusing them of raping two women in New Orleans last year. Sharper has pleaded not guilty to rape charges in Los Angeles, and is under investigation in other states. Police say the two women were raped at the same location on Sept. 23. Sharper was a six-time All-Pro selection in a 14-year career with the Packers, Vikings and Saints.

Scheduled Four-time Olympian and former Washington State Cougar Bernard Lagat is scheduled to run in the Carlsbad 5000 on March 30. For the first time, the race will have $2,500 in prize money for the first American finisher, in addition to $5,000 for the overall champion.

Terminated The Baltimore Ravens have terminated the contracts of three-time Pro Bowl fullback Vonta Leach and six-year linebacker Jameel McClain. Leach played in all 16 games last season, while McClain missed six games due to a bruised spinal cord.

Agreed The San Francisco 49ers and offensive lineman Daniel Kilgore have agreed to a three-year contract extension through the 2017 season. Kilgore has played in 33 regular-season games, plus all six playoff games the last two seasons. He has split time at guard and center.

• The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a five-year contract with wide receiver Riley Cooper and a seven-year deal with center Jason Kelce. Cooper set career highs with 47 receptions, 835 yards and eight touchdowns last season.

Announced The NFL announced that the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants will kick off the 2014 preseason in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio, on August 3. The contest will be played a day after the Hall of Fame inducts seven new members, including the Bills’ Andre Reed and the Giants’ Michael Strahan.

Damaged Scottsdale, Ariz. Police, checking on reported damage to a Ferrari belonging to NFL lineman Richie Incognito, say Incognito told an officer he did the damage himself. Because no crime report was filed, further details are unavailable.

Delayed Light welterweight boxer Nick Casal’s comeback is on hold after his opponent, Shakha Moore, failed his pre-fight physical. The two were supposed to meet at the Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Conference and Events Center in what was to be Casal’s first fight since October 2011. Casal (22-4-1) was nearly clubbed to death in May 2012.
