Dump Hunger Food Drive - When the calendar turns to January, donations to local food banks drop dramatically, a 36 percent decrease on average in Idaho alone. You can help the Community Action Partnership continue to serve those in need by donating to Dump Hunger. Food donations to the campaign can be made at Western States Caterpillar in Hayden or any local Albertsons store. Western States Caterpillar and Wells Fargo locations will also accept monetary contributions for the campaign. Donations made to Dump Hunger will stay in our community. Third Annual Sinto Chili Cook-off - Sinto Senior Activity Center welcomes the public and members with homemade chili, lively accordion music by Norm Seeberger and Jack Humphrey and a large serving of community spirit. As incentive for bringing your own prized chili entry, earn $10 in Sinto Bucks that may be redeemed for events, trips, tours or activities at SSAC in 2014. Admission cost will help the center provide recreational, educational and social programs that enable senior citizens to keep active in mind, body and spirit. “Inequality for All” - Community screening of this documentary and The Smith-Barbieri Progressive Fund will match all proceeds raised by the event for the 2nd Harvest Food Bank of Spokane to help feed the hungry this winter. COTA for Kyle - A benefit performance of “Crazy for You” for Kyle Sipe. Kyle is a local teen born with end-stage congenital heart disease.
