Olivia Pakootas hit the game-winning jumper with 4.3 seconds left as the Nighthawks beat the Crusaders, sending Tekoa-Oakesdale to the championship game.
In a game with 13 lead changes and 10 ties, there was a jump ball with 21.1 seconds left with the Nighthawks gaining possession. After a timeout, Pakootas hit the open jumper to up her total to 22 points, going 10 of 17 from the field.
Kim Groom added 10 points and 15 rebounds for the Nighthawks.
Mount Vernon’s Grace Kuipers led all scorers with 27 points on 9-of-15 shooting and 7 of 12 from beyond the arc, and Carla Van Rooyen had 10 boards for the Crusaders.

Cierra Moss set a State 1B tournament record with 40 points and Neah Bay dismantled Taholah in an elimination game.
Moss made 13 of 21 shots from the floor, including 5 of 8 3-pointers, and made 9 of her 11 free-throw attempts. She also pulled down 20 rebounds, three shy of the tournament record.
The previous tournament record for points was held by Wilson Creek’s Ksenja Fredere, who scored 36 against Taholah in 2010.
Faye Chartraw added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Red Devils.
The Chitwins were led by Trish Charley, who had 16 points and nine rebounds, and Nichole Hildago, who had 13 points and 10 boards.
