Considered Presidents of Pac-12 member universities could vote in June to move the conference’s football championship game to the San Francisco 49ers’ new stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Announced NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said he believes the Buffalo Bills will require a new stadium to remain viable in western New York. In calling the Bills recently negotiated 10-year lease agreement a “short-term solution,” Goodell said a new stadium would be the next step in finding “the right long-term solution.”

• The Match Play Championship will not be in its traditional spot early in the season for the first time since it began in 1999. PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem said only that he hopes to have a decision by the end of the month on the future of the World Golf Championship.

• The University of Oregon isn’t allowing three basketball players to participate in team activities after a student told police they sexually assaulted her at a postgame party and later at an apartment. Police in Eugene investigated the allegations against Damyean Dotson, Dominic Artis and Brandon Austin.

Selected NFL prospect Michael Sam was selected the winner of the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. The Missouri defensive end has announced that he is gay, making him set to become the first openly gay NFL player.

Acquired The Atlanta Dream acquired four-time WNBA All-Star forward Swin Cash from the Chicago Sky in a trade for guard Courtney Clements and a swap of draft picks in 2015. The 34-year-old Cash started all 34 games last season, averaging 9.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

• The Arizona Cardinals added linebacker Larry Foote to their roster, giving him a chance to extend his NFL career to a 13th season. Foote has started 10 postseason games and won two Super Bowls.

Filed The NFL Players Association confirmed that the union has filed a grievance on behalf of Jimmy Graham concerning the Saints tight end’s franchise tag designation. At issue is whether the NFL was correct to apply the tight end tag to Graham or whether Graham should have received the more lucrative wide receiver tag, a difference of $5 million.

Hired A second-tier French soccer team hired the first female coach in the country’s professional soccer leagues. Clermont hired Helena Costa, adding that “this nomination should help Clermont enter into a new era” and that she will work closely with developing the club’s youth team.
