Obituary: Robbins, Deborah S.

ROBBINS, Deborah S. (Anyan) “Debbie” (Age 57) February 16, 1957 to October 5, 2014 Born and raised in Spokane on February 16, 1957 to Roy and Joy Anyan, Debbie passed away on October 5, 2014, at home and surrounded by her loving family.

She is now at peace, following a courageous battle with lung and brain cancer.

Debbie is survived by her husband and best friend of 18 years, Dan; son, Brad (Megan) Groh; daughter, Shannon (Chris) Gregg; daughter, Heather (Kurt) Krajic; daughter, Kim (Shawn) Correia; daughter, Kelly Robbins; grandchildren, Cooper and Callie Gregg, Merrick Groh, Ruby and Scout Krajic.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Steve.

Debbie attended Field Grade School, Glover Junior High, and graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1975.

She grew up on the north side until moving to Millwood where she raised her family.

Debbie succeeded in several jobs related to hospitality services.

Her last position was at Northern Quest Casino where she was the marketing manager.

She loved camping, attending her kids and grandchildren’s activities, family dinners, and cross-word puzzles.

Her strength, dedication, gentle spirit and loving ways were her family’s mainstays.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday October 19, 2014, 1:00 PM at La Belle Vie Event Center, 18507 E. Appleway, Greenacres, WA 99016.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Spokane can be made in Debbie’s name.
