Spokane Valley’s annual tradition since 1990. Celebrate the Silver Jubilee with live entertainment for the entire family and recognize area youth for their talents. The Hearts of Gold Parade kicks off Valleyfest at 7:30 p.m. today with the parade route going eastbound on Sprague Avenue from north Gillis Road to Pines Road. The festival continues Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Mirabeau Park with booths and vendors. Other events include: Pancake Breakfast, Balloons over Valleyfest, Fishing at the Falls, Car Show, a triathlon, Centennial Bike Ride and more.

The Spokane Symphony launches its 2014-15 season with a program of romantic masterpieces. Featuring guest artists the acclaimed Silver-Garburg Piano Duo performing works by Bach and Mendelssohn.
