Redskins stun Hornets 54-48
Wellpinit’s Jason Holt connected with McKennon Andrews on a 70-yard touchdown pass with 6 seconds left and the Redskins stunned visiting Inchelium 54-48 in a nonleague game Friday night in Wellpinit.
The chaotic finished started with Quentin Holford’s 1-yard touchdown plunge with 40 seconds left that pulled the Hornets (2-2) even with the Redskins at 48 apiece.
The winning touchdown was the second time Holt found Andrews for a touchdown at the end of the half. The pair combined for a score with no time remaining in the first half to put the Redskins (3-0) up 24-18 entering the break.
Holt ran for 262 yards on 23 carries and scored four touchdowns. He also threw for 114 yards with two interceptions.
West Valley 42, Moscow 7: Tevin Duke and Austin Lee both scored on interception returns in the first half and the Eagles (2-2) cruised past the host Bears (1-4). Lee also had two touchdown passes.
Sandpoint 57, East Valley 15: Kyle Perry ran for 151 yards on 19 carries and scored five touchdowns as the Bulldogs (3-2) routed the host Knights (1-3). Sandpoint ran for 303 yards on 42 carries, compared to 98 yards on 40 carries for East Valley.
Clarkston 48, Priest River 20: Evan Nelson ran for two touchdowns and returned a kickoff 65 yards for another score as the Bantams (4-0) dumped the host Spartans (2-2).
Curlew 54, Columbia 34: Gunner Brown ran for 234 yards on 16 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Cougars (1-3) defeated the visiting Lions (0-4). Brown scored twice in each half. Chance Wheaton added 162 yards on 10 carries and a pair of touchdowns and Hunter Beedle hauled in a touchdown pass and led Curlew defensively with 13 tackles. John Suchow and Dakota Helms scored two rushing touchdowns apiece for Columbia.
Cusick 47, Almira/Coulee-Hartline 18: Chad Browneagle hauled in three of Tyson Shanholtzer’s four touchdown passes and the Panthers (4-0) routed the visiting Warriors (1-3). Browneagle and Shanholtzer also scored rushing touchdowns for Cusick, which led 27-6 at the half. Dallas Isaak scored all three of ACH’s touchdowns, two on the ground and another on an 80-yard kickoff return.
Odessa-Harrington 78, Northport 0: Sam Schaefer scored three touchdowns in the decisive opening quarter and the Titans (3-1) overwhelmed the visiting Mustangs (0-3). Schaefer scored twice on the ground and returned an interception 35 yards for another touchdown. Caleb Behrens, Garrison Schmierer and Chance Messer added two touchdowns apiece for Odessa-Harrington.
Republic 87, LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus 0: Angelo Rivera scored twice on the ground and the Tigers (3-1) racked up 371 yards of total offense in a rout over the Tigercats (0-4) in Washtucna. Seven Republic players scored touchdowns.

Deer Park 34, Medical Lake 20: Nic Clough’s 6-yard touchdown pass to Nick Lockwood sparked the Stags’ late rally and Deer Park (2-2, 2-0) came from behind to beat the visiting Cardinals (1-3, 0-2). Trailing 20-7 entering the fourth, Deer Park scored 27 unanswered points in the final quarter to claim the victory. Theron Taylor scored two rushing touchdowns in the fourth. He finished with 186 yards on 26 carries and scored three TDs.
Lakeside 63, Newport 14: Cameron Gay threw for 271 yards and six touchdowns and the Eagles (4-0, 2-0) routed the host Grizzlies (1-3, 0-2). Three of those touchdown passes went to Bryce Schimke, who racked up 88 receiving yards. Newport’s Otis Smith threw for 301 yards and a touchdown, but also had three interceptions.
Colville 52, Riverside 0: The Indians (4-0, 2-0) raced to a 44-0 halftime lead and eased past the host Rams (1-3, 0-2). Colville’s Colton Vining ran for 108 yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown and Justin Dragonvich and Journy Young each added a pair of rushing touchdowns.
Freeman 53, Chewelah 0: Markus Goldbach ran for 181 yards and three touchdowns and the Scotties (4-0, 2-0) routed the host Cougars (1-3, 0-2). Goldbach scored twice in the first half and once more in the third quarter. Jack Paukert caught two touchdown passes from Preston Hoppman in the first quarter.
Northeast 2B
Colfax 50, Northwest Christian 27: Dylan Hall scored three touchdowns – twice on the ground and once on a punt return – and the Bulldogs (4-0, 4-0) beat the visiting Crusaders (2-2, 2-2). Cody Fulfs added 169 yards on 18 carries, including a 65-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Colfax and Northwest Christian each had a special teams score and a defensive score. Nathan Sander found the end zone three times for the Crusaders.
Liberty 55, Kettle Falls 25: Match Burnham accounted for seven touchdowns in the Lancers’ win over the host Bulldogs (0-4, 0-4). Burnham threw for four scores, ran for two and returned an interception 50 yards for another touchdown. Tyler Haas added 143 yards on 15 carries and one score for Liberty (2-2, 2-2). Cole Wren led Kettle Falls with 122 passing yards and one touchdown.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 49, Wilbur-Creston 0: Hugh Hennings ran for 142 yards and three touchdowns and the Broncos overwhelmed the Wildcats in Ritzville. Lind-Ritzville/Sprague racked up 303 yards of total offense. The last score of the game was Kyle Gimmaka’s 46-yard punt return for a touchdown.
Davenport 57, Springdale 18: Cruz Plasencia scored on touchdown runs of 73, 70 and 73 yards in the second quarter and the Gorillas (3-1, 3-1) routed the host Chargers (0-4, 0-4). Tom Wilkie added three rushing touchdowns for Davenport, which raced out to a 43-12 halftime lead. Jacob Morrell punched in two short touchdowns for Springdale.
Reardan 50, Tekoa-Rosalia 0: The Indians (4-0, 4-0) beat the visiting Timberwolves (0-4, 0-4). The game was called at halftime due to an injury.

Touchet 42, Garfield-Palouse 28: Colter McKeown ran for three touchdowns, including an 85-yarder in the fourth quarter, and the Indians beat the host Vikings (2-1, 1-1). Garfield-Palouse quarterback Hunter Woltering threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns.
