2015 AMSOIL Arenacross Saturday-Sunday. The Monster Energy Supercross stars of tomorrow can be found in AMSOIL Arenacross, featuring Ricky Carmichael’s Road to Supercross. AMSOIL Arenacross Series tracks are among the tightest in the world, filled with difficult challenges, amazing airtime, intense speed and close-contact racing. Hope Run 5K or 10K run on Children of the Sun trail in north Spokane. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Organization of the Inland Northwest to help local children with cancer. All race participants receive a commemorative T-shirt. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each event. No pets allowed. Walkers and strollers must start in the back. Spokane Bike Swap Get ready for bike season. Buy new and used bicycles and accessories from the bike corral and visit local bike shops and other vendors. Proceeds from the Spokane Bike Swap benefit the Friends of the Centennial Trail. Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana St, Suite 1, Spokane Valley. $5, free for kids age 12 and younger.

American Indian Heritage Week at NIC Sponsored by North Idaho College, American Indian Studies, American Indian Student Alliance Club, NIC Student Activities Club and the NIC Diversity Steering Committee. Events continue through Saturday. All events are in the NIC Edminster Student Union unless otherwise stated. Today from 6:30 to 9 p.m., free Native American craft workshop for all ages. Learn to make a dream catcher, choker necklace, pony bead necklace and more; free pizza and refreshments. Coyote and the Birds will perform live music from 7-7:30 p.m. and 8-8:30 p.m. today; both shows are free. Events conclude Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with a gourd art class.
