Geiger inmate re-arrested following escape

A Spokane County Detention Services inmate who jumped from a work crew vehicle Wednesday was re-arrested Thursday night by Spokane police officers.

Police arrested Leah J. Collins in the Havana and Sprague area Thursday evening, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Collins was originally jailed on a warrant for misdemeanor theft charges, jail records show. She now faces an additional felony charge of escape from a detention facility.
